Looking back….

Evil Garrosh!

With less then a week to Cata, I am sure many of us are chomping at the but for the new content!

My list

1.) WORGEN WARRIOR (FURRY errr Fury)!!
2.) Leveling and seeing the new Cata zones. (priest 1st, then maybe druid 2nd)
3.) Raiding and 5 man instances.
4.) WORGEN (Rogue – combat biatches!)
5.) Worgen priest….Shadow!
5.) goblin…maybe.
6.) Hopes Garrosh DIAF!

Even with these new changes coming next week….is there anything we are going to miss from WoTLK era? I know change is good but is there something that will be missed?

1.) Dalaran – I know it was a small ass city with tons of people in it…but it was homey in a way. Don’t ask me why lol. I guess it would be that it was pleasant and not warlike? The city of magic, mages, and fancy towers. Org looks like a military camp, even more so now, and Stormwind is too closed in with the narrow street etc, probably even more so with the latest patch.
2.) As much as I hate her….gonna miss Sindy! /tear. She reminds me of my mother…constantly nagging me!
3.) WoTLK raid instances (specifically TotC and ICC), this is where I really started to get into raiding and WoW and where I met some of my closest friends and my lovely lock! These instances have a special place to me. ❤
4.) The look of the WoTLK Tier sets. Although I only really ever collected 9 and 10, Tiers 7 and 8 looked cool imo. Especially the priest T7 or was it T8?
5.) Cairne Bloodhoof RIP homie. 😦
6.) Thrall as Warchief!

Is there anything you are going to miss from Wrath?

I am going to miss Death Knights. Oh shit, they are still around? Fudge. I miss…Grizzly Hills music. I will actually probably miss Dalaran in the way that it’s where everyone was. With there being no capitol city now, Guild members will no longer say “I’m on the bank steps” but instead, I’m in IF, SW, or Darnassus. At least it’s still consistent that no one will be in Exodar!

lol indeed. tracking down guildmates will be a bit more difficult. As you said no more “I am on the bank steps!”

Umm … Kaly set his hearth to Exodar. So I guess you can miss him if you won’t go there. 😛

And yeah, but not even just Dal, but Northrend as a whole. I mean, it was probably the same in BC too, where Outland was the place to be .. Northrend was the place to be, and it was small enough that no raid instance was too far to travel to. (One of my HUGE pet peeves … lazy ass raiders who expect to be summoned to raid instances! If you really wanted to be there, you would be at the entrance ahead of starting time on your own power biotches.)

I actually already miss Northrend. But it’s ok. I’ll get used to it.

Indeed the travel time to raid instances or dungeons will be a bit annoying. It’s hard to leave a place that you have spent so much time at imo. With the vastness of the “old world” it won’t feel the same. Not quite sure how to word it but it feels like we will be more like nomads with no permanent place. While in Outlands (during BC) or Northrend (WoTLK) there was an identity of “home”, I think.

At least though there won’t be Dal-LAG-ran.

        • December 2, 2010 at 3:58 pm

No, it will just be Lagrimmar again and uh … Stormlag I guess? No good way to get lag in Stormwind. :p

I always preferred IF anyways. And if you ask me, the cooking and fishing dailies should have been made available in all Capitol cities, same quests, just do it in at least one of the 4 cap cities.

I am going to miss running around the sewers and finding underbelly elixir, then running around like a crazy person with the results.

    *sigh*

    The good ol’ times 😀
