Ok…its too hot….freakin humidity can die.
Latest patch has killed my WoW fun…going from 30-45 FPS at high/ultra settings in a 25 man raid/10 man to 3-10 FPS is not fun.
I have deleted AVR etc, but still getting the same issue. prior to this NO issues. Maybe its time to move on who knows. :P
Will try to update my drivers, but does not look like there are any available. Freakin computers can be a pain in the arse sometimes.
Playing WoW at the rate of a snail…not my cup of tea. And I am individual if I cannot do well…makes me wanna punch a panda.
This Sat will meet up with Sorak. The cow is gonna get owned in SF.
Three things about me…to copy Del
1.) My personsal best at number of wings eaten – 71 from Quaker Steak
2.) Unlike Del, I have been to many a place, even east of the Mississippi :P
-New York, Maryland, Florida, Indiana, Illinois, North Carolina, Louisiana, California, Italy, Mexico, South Korea, Japan. Iowa. Canada.
3.) I have never voted…umm…yeah…bad me.
Ok back from the grave!!!!!! Being sick with sore throat and some kinda of nasty nasal infection not fun!!! 90% back to normal. can’t talk too long for at this moment.
Going to do a cop out post. going to copy this from Del!
1.) I like country, and I am not ashamed of it! I own a belt buckle!! woot!
2.) I used to be a ranked Magic player…yeah…i shoulda kept on playing. Lots of the players I played against…not very good. Then again, I am a decent single player, but team games is where i shine. I think the last tournament where I won 1st. My partner and I did not lose a single game. Simple comp…he brought the early pain, the fliers, and some creature removal. I brought the heavy late game hitters, counterspells, and more burn (ie creature removal or damage straight to the other team).
3.) Korean food is my fav….dont knock it till you try it!!! Kimchee!!! /drool
Random title is random!
WOAH ITS OVER 9000!!!!!
That was my intial reaction to reading the priest talents at MMO’s Champion. Then as other mentioned and as I thought about it…this will more then likely change in some shape or form. Why get excited about it. Although, I do admit I did fiddle around with the priest talents for a bit. I am NOT sold on the doing damage to do more healing. They tried that with the Archmage in Warhammer Online…and it was LOLFAIL imo. But the idea of being able to cast Penance on the run was intriguing.
It’s Friday and hear at Orangeslice > all, its time to give you a recap of my not so exciting life. Ok….STILL NO FRICKIN SHIELD. No I am not bitter about this. Not at all. Hex knows the pain of having a lolshield. Or as Zarigar put it…my shield is piece of paper with straps…yeah that is what it is at this point. Zarigar is definitely a man of philosophy. He also pointed out on a certain pull in ICC 25…where the mobs decided to play basketball with my corpse…I would have survived if I had a decent shield.
It was times like that, where i had my good ol’ Power Word: Shield.
Thursday ICC 10 went well imo. 1 shotted everything till Cindy…still issues there. But meh. Its only a game. Nice and relaxing. :)
Not sure if I am getting restless…but it is harder to stay focused on WoW atm. Maybe time to play maor console games? Not sure. But I would like another 80 to play around with…well maybe 2 more or 3 lol.
This Sunday will not be relaxing. Going to try something so awesome….well actually kinda dumb. Because the last time if did it….my bro and I were so sick for the rest of the day…PANCAKE CHALLLLEEEENNNNGGGGEEE!!!!
No time limit…just have to eat 3 pancakes the size of the state of Rhode Island….yeah…Not as easy as it sounds. 5 years or so only 14 people have finished it….I want to beat it…yeah I am a dork like that. No stinkin food beats me.
Stay frosty peeps!
Anyways, too many things to do in WoW, so little time.
Project Slice must have one of each type of healer aka PSMHOETOH, has slowed down. My druid has been at 29 for a while now. The shaman is prob going to be deleted, and a new one made in its place…maybe.
Hunter has been stuck at 17 for a while…will get there one day.
Now duoing with Lyssi, I am a lock and she is a mage….has been easy and fun so far…DoTs….are addicting!!!! But lol we keep on getting distracted by herbs or mining points! XD
Short post is short. Work is busy…lots of accidents to review. lots of mail to look at, and lots of calls to take…TGIF….maybe time for beer….
In 10-man mode, you will need two tanks and three healers. In 25-man mode, you’ll need five healers. But, as always, the number of healers you actually use will change a little depending on their throughput.
Like most dragons, Halion does tail swipe and cleave. Standard dragon positioning rules apply.
The fight with Halion starts simply and obviously, because Halion draws a giant circle of fire on the ground.. Your raid will need room to maneuver, so have the main tank pull Halion all the way to one side. Try and keep raid members who are not currently interacting with raid effects toward the same side, so that everyone will have lots of space to maneuver.
There’s only a couple abilities for you to worry about during the first phase. First, Fiery Combustion will be cast on raid members. This is a DoT. But more importantly, it will stack Mark of Corruption on the raid member. When the Combustion either runs out of time or dispelled, the combusting player will drop a fire on the ground proportional in size to the number of stacks. Therefore, as soon as someone gets Combustion, they should run away as quickly as possible. When Combustion is cleansed off him, players will be knocked back.
The other thing to keep an eye out for in phase one is Meteor Strike. As you see the signs of a Meteor Strike happening, raid members should move out of the way and not stand in fire.
In phase two, when he’s at 75% health, Halion will open a portal into the twilight realm. He will exist in both realms. However, only the main tank and healer will want to stay in the “real world.” Everyone else should go inside the portal and DPS the heck out of him. Most dynamics of the fight inside the portal works the same was as phase one, except that Fiery Combustion now becomes Soul Consumption. Instead of knocking everyone back Soul Consumption will draw everyone towards the person with the mark.
The second trick replaces Meteor Strike; this new ability is called Shadow Pulsar. Two balls will appear at the edge of the raid space. These two balls will spin diametrically opposite one another, occasionally attacking with Twilight Cutter..
When Halion hits 50% health, the raid enters phase three. In this phase, Halion will simultaneously exist in both the real world and in the twilight realm. He gains a stat called Corporeality. If you do more damage in the real world, Halion will become less corporeal, doing more damage and healing in the twilight realm. If you do more damage in the shadow world, the inverse would be true. Therefore, you want your damage between the two realms to be as equal as possible.
Twilight Precision: Increases Halion’s chance to hit by 5% and reduces the player characters’ chance to dodge by 20%. This is to handle scaling issues based on player’s gear.
Flame Breath/Dark Breath: This is the fairly common cone breath weapon used by most dragons. It’s flame damage in the “real” world, while it’s shadow damage in the twilight world.
Meteor Strike: Used in phase one, this attack is fairly powerful. It takes a few seconds to land once a mark is placed on the ground; don’t stand there. Only occurs in phase one.
Fiery Combustion/Soul Consumption:Places a powerful DoT on the player who receives this debuff. That player should run away from the raid so that it can be cleansed. Each time it ticks, the power will place a Mark on the character. The more marks, the larger fire or shadow zone that will be left on the ground after curing the affected player. In the Fiery version, the Fiery Combustion will knock everyone away, while Soul Consumption will pull folks toward the zone.
Dusk Shroud: Inflicts ongoing shadow damage to anyone in the twilight realm. This takes place in both phase two and phase three.
Twilight Cutters: Two balls of energy form on the outside of the raid area. They slowly circle the outside ring of the fight area, shooting Twilight Cutter for 10 seconds, and then turning off for 30 seconds. This repeats during the entirety of phase one and phase two.
Tank, spank. Be aware of the Twilight Cutter, however, since that may call for a cooldown. Additionally, try and keep Halion positioned toward the very side of the area.
Don’t stand in fire, and blow him up. During phase 3, however, be sure you have an equal amount of damage inside and outside the Twilight Portals. This is because you need to stay within about 40-60 Corporeality in order to keep Halion from wiping half your raid.
If your main tank has done Sartharion, then he’ll have no problem with this fight. However, there’s going to be lots of raid damage floating around. You will need to be prepared to help out folks who fail to not stand in fire, or else the raid damage will quickly overwhelm them.
The above taken from WoW.com etc.
Looks like a typical dragon fight. Dont stand in bad. run away when you get the debuff. The interesting notion if the balancing of damage. That should be fun to see DPS watch their damage XD
Other than that healing looks typical. May need some good raid healers, tanks looks like typical tank and spank. And blow a cooldown when he uses Twilight Cutter.
We all have things, even in everyone’s favorite game (WoW), that needs to die off like the dinosaurs.
The things you know…you see and go “WTF were they thinking!” Or something that for no apparent reason makes the rage bar grow.
1.) RP that you CANNOT skip once you have seen it once. Yes, Saurfang RP I am glaring at you. DIAF approved! Yes, improvements have been made for CoS and HoR…but yeah horde side fighting Saurfang…might as well as take a dump and upload it to shitblog while waiting for the fight to start.
2.) Murlocs…yes, I hate them…that noise they make…RAWR…want to buy chemical agent and kill all them murlocs.
3.) I know I will get a lot of hate for this…non-combat pets…not sure why…I have never been a fan on them. They kind of remind me of those useless lapdogs celebrities have.
4.) TOO MANY HOLIDAY EVENTS!!! Azeroth does not equal earth….why why why why why why!!!!
5.) 10 vs 25 man loot. Yes and I am glad Cata will fix it.
6.) Poorly designed armor in the lower lvls. Low lvls characters looks like circus clowns…and as we know clowns are creepy.
7.) How do females chests still heave and jiggle while in plate? or Mail? /ponders.
8.) dumbed down use of food buff….fish feast go…zzzzzzzzzzz. why bother lvling cooking when you can just eat a fish feast.
9.) Bosses/instances that are no longer viable….waste of game space…..
10.) Needs more training in the lower levels to teach people on how to play their damned job. I know the LFG tool helps I think…But yeah people need to learn…too many people at 80…who cant move from a fire on a regular basis.
11.) trade chat being used for conversation….drives me up the wall……and yes I do disable it most of the time.
Going back to Lyssi’s blog she typed out the keys she used for the most part in her rotation, and for her that works. Looking back on this, I think Ari mentioned one time she has her mouse and key binds setup in a way that works for her. Tir is a clicker/macro guy. (correct me if I am wrong Tir!)
We all setup our UI’s and keybinds in ways that work and make sense for us. As much as I tease Lyssi about the way she setup her buttons, they work and make sense to her.
Muscle memory is very important and allows us to do things without thinking. Put me in front of Tir’s setup and I think I would fail till i got used to it.
My current setup is very similar to my FFXI setup. Although FFXI did not use the (1 – =) setup. Many of the abilites are also setup as mouse over macros. Point and click..whack a mole version 2.0.
1 – Flash of Light
2 – Holy Light
3 – Holy Shock
4 – Judgement
5 – Divine Plea
6 – Avenging Wrath
7 – Arcane Torrent
8 – = I don’t remember off the top of my head…but they are not very important, mostly things like Holy Wrath and Hammer of the Righteous (the stun one)
Alt 1 – Divine favor
Alt 2 – Divine Illumination
Alt 3 – Beacon (Bacon) of Light
Alt 4 – Divine Shield
Alt 5 – Lay on Hands
Ctrl 1 – Talisman of Resurgence
Ctrl 2 – Hand of Freedom
Ctrl 3 – that threat reducing blessing
Ctrl 4 and 5 – someting not important like a res spell and some undead turn spell.
With Clique – Alt and left Click is Cleanse
Ctrl and left Click is BoP
With the way things are setup it is easy to still move and cast as needed. Unneeded looking for keys are eliminated for me at least. The priest is setup in the same fashion. Combined with my UI (Kitty UI – wow interface, check it out) makes it very easy to see what is up and keeps meh buttons nice and neat and lined up and organized. I do admit, abilities not commonly used I do not even bother to place on keys.
KB are setup in order of most commonly used to least used.
This setup works for me. Everyone keybinds/macros/add-ons differently and in their own fashion. Some like grid + clique + mouseover macros. some like decursive, other Vuhdo. X-perl. So many different options.
Is there “the most efficient” way to KB and macro??? Best way to UI??? If there is an answer out there someone please advise :P
