Priests – Now in Disc or Holy flavored!

April 1, 2011 7 comments

The only class in WoW with 2 dedicated healing specializations, the Priest.

Why would you want to be a priest?

1.) We wear dresses duh!
2.) Bubbles….
3.) Lazor heals!
4.) Big yellow BUBBLE
5.) Huge circle of shiny on teh ground!
6.) Wings to look purdy!
7.) We don’t smell like cabbage like the other classes!

Ok now that you want to be a priest, which race should you make your priest:

Alliance
Human
Night Elf
Draenei
Worgen
Gnome
Dwarf

Human: ok acceptable. Some humans will have the sense and elegence needed to become a priest.

Night Elf: Sigh…the skin clashes. Long armed, and necked Nelfs look like giraffes. no.

Draenei and Worgen: Hooves. Claws. Horns….no they should stick to being in the freak show. Not on the runway!

Dwarves and Gnomes: Wait do people play gnomes and dwarves? I haven’t seen any…oh wait…that’s right, one has to look down to see them.

Horde
Tauren
Troll
Forsaken
Goblin
Blood Elf

Tauren….seriously…no. Don’t even consider it. Cows and dresses do not mix. If you want to see that – Check out People of Walmart.

Troll….again…no. Why would you want to be a race that does not have the elegence needed for the fancy dresses…*ahem* robes. Also whatever they are smoking…makes them smell like cabbage. Also they have poor posture!

Forsaken…..not going to go there. Should be obvious. Also they suffer from poor posture and bad breath.

Goblin…see troll. Besdes the greenskin clashes with everything. FASHION IS #1

Ok this brings me to the only race deserving to be a Priest.

BLOOD ELVES!

1.) Epic hair.
2.) The attitude that works and brings everyone in.
3.) The right figure.
4.) No claws, hooves, horns.
5.) No ugly facial hair.
6.) No huge foreheads, gangly arms, and Mullet
7.) Like did I mention, the EPIC HAIR!

What do you think of raids and problems?

March 7, 2011 8 comments

Well to me personally, I am glad they are not like ICC…pity buff…lol

Anyways I am glad for the higher level of challenge.

In ICC, one could to an extent, if you lost someone, recover, stabilize and win for the most part (normal difficulty). Or if you failed at a mechanic you could still win many fights. Prime example, taking too long to free people from bonespikes, or improperly standing in bad in blood princes, and my favorite getting hit by Prof. Putricide’s ooze thingees he throws at you.

In many of the Cataclysm fights, a death or two and it is game over.
(well except for that Omnotron where we lost a tank and 2 DPS in a minute and managed to recover somehow was amazing!)

Magmaw – is actually pretty easy, but fail at adds = wipe. Improperly handle “Mangle” = poss wipe.

Omnotron – failure to pull Arcanotron out of puddles = death, Getting hit by an ooze = death, improperly healing a target from the single target flame thrower from Magmatron = death.

Maloriak – not properly controlling interrupts = death. Not properly stacking up or run out = death. Improper movement on phase 2 of the tank and the raid not watching out for bad = death.

Chimaeron – well…this is a lot on the healers…not paying attention to low health = death. Moving to early from the feud phase = death. Not watching threat to see who is next in phase 2 means death and a wipe.

Atramedes – not hitting a gong during searing flame = death. Improper kiting = death, not watching your sounds meter = death.

With the Cataclysm bosses so far, there is no get out of jail free card. You pass or fail. Losing 1 or 2 people in a 10 man raid is quite harsh and might as well wipe it up. You will more than likely hit an enrage timer (Maloriak, Magmaw, or run out of gongs in the Atramedes fight)

I for the most part like the punishing aspect of these bosses, keeps you on your toes. No carrying people thru until higher gear levels.

For my next thought….how does your raid handle issues? Strategies?, Mistakes?

For the most part (in Shadow Rising), people own up their mistakes, and we all give suggestions to the main idea and follow thru. Furthermore, I think we have raided enough where people are able to take suggestions etc. and asked why what happened there to an individual.

In other groups, keeping outside the raid is a better alternative, in a more private setting. This keeps people who do not need to know, out of the loop, and keeps things under the table. This method maybe best for the more shy, introverted individual, and probably the “safest” method.

For others, just calling it out in the open maybe the best. Sometimes shame/anger is the best motivator for improvement, and the most controversal.

Every raid is different, made up of varied personalities and ideals. Every officer, GM, raid leader, will have to use different methods on how to handle criticism and evaluations of each other and their raiders. At times there is no way to improve your raid without breaking a few eggs and a few egos.

Never participated in one…so lets take a shot!

Muradinmusings

Nice blog i just found today. check it out!

Anyways:

1. Disk or Download? Download FTW. As much as waiting in line can be fun….

2. Did you experience any difficulties? IE: Login servers crashing, late delivery, etc? Nope none at all!
3. What are you doing first? IE: Speed leveling to 85, rolling a new race, completely avoiding the new content, etc? For my main – speed leveling to 85 is 1st!

4. Mt. Hyjal or Vash’jir? Went to Mt. Hyjal 1st, and then went to Vash’jr to get the seahorse!

5. Worgen or Goblin? WORGEN! /howl!! Although, I am a hordie at heart!

6. Questing, dungeons or both? At this point, questing….although it drives me crazy.

7. What was the first piece of gear you replaced and with what? Hmmm…..I don’t remember? call me weird, but if i don’t like the piece I will not use it….unless I absolutely have to.

8. Did you take any time off from work or school? Sorta…does getting sick count?

9. Will you be keeping the same spec and main, or changing to a different toon? Same toon. Bubble Priest GO!

10. What’s been your favorite aspect of Cataclysm so far? Hmm. The Cutscenes for sure, and the less convoluted quest system. (no more go to A to get quest from C to D then go back to D)

I cant wait to check out the rest of the areas, dungeons, and most importantly the raids!!!! /drool….I CAN HAZ RAID!?
