5.0.4 Disc and Holy Priests…..

1st raid after the 5.0.4 patch has hit….

Went very well, no complaints for the most part as a healing priest….well maybe a few. :P

1.) Compared to pre-patch I really had to watch what I was doing in regards to spell usage. Cast too much/too fast/wrong spells and I could see my mana pool dropping fast.

2.) Picking which mana regen talent is important – Mindbender vs Power Word: Solace – I generally found I really liked mindbender over solace.

3.) Honestly, I felt on certain fights with the priest mana regen being weak, I do not think I could have 2 healed some of the fights in DS last night.

However I know many of our DPS were happy, lots of them seem to have gotten a lot of buffs etc. :)

With active mitigation playing a bigger role for tanks in this expansion, it’s also up to us (tanks) to be more wary of our healers and help them out as much as possible, especially with your mana pools and healing changes.

I looked at my priest last night. I had no idea what to pick on some of the talents. Several of the talent levels it was easy; that’s a shadow spell, that’s healing. Others though..wow. Of course a couple of the levels, I wanted several.
